On a quiet street sat a large light green house with a stone porch & white pillars. The bay windows on either side of the front door were crowned with leaded glass panels. Every year the Good Shep's Home had a carnival and I went one year. I saw where the girls slept in a large dormitory. Some of the beds had stuffed animals on them. All were neatly made and clean. They did laundry. Joni Mitchell has a song about this kind of place; the song is called "The Magdalene Laundries". They also made very good bread there.
