On a quiet street sat a large light green house with a stone porch & white pillars. The bay windows on either side of the front door were crowned with leaded glass panels. could it be .... Mary Wallis? She used to scrub the floor in the vestibule on her hands and knees, with her dark cotton stockings rolled down to her old lady shoes. She had knobby joints and adored Nana. I think she hated me, because I was laughing as I ran over her carefully cleaned floor.
